Ambassador Program

HPSO is accountable and uniquely positioned to help improve how the Medical Staff communicates and collaborates in regards to improving patient care. This is vital to supporting part of the HPSO mission to better align the interests of the community, physicians and the hospital. In order to find out more about the issues facing physicians, HPSO Directors are attending department and community meetings (in the "gemba", i.e. the "place of work") to listen and learn about the issues facing our physician colleagues in our diverse medical staff.  At these meetings, the directors are also able to provide relevant updates on HPSO’s strategic goals. Action items or insights from these meeting are brought forward at HPSO meetings to determine next steps. This may include HPSO’s involvement in the problem solving process, or facilitating communications between the appropriate parties.
