Ambulatory Surgery Center

South Shore Hospital’s ambulatory surgical center specializes in outpatient musculoskeletal procedures.  Occupying most of the second floor within the outpatient Center for Orthopedics, Spine and Sports Medicine in Hingham, the center’s features include:

• A hospitality area for patients and families
• A pre-surgical evaluation area
• Four operating suites
• A perioperative unit with 18 beds for patient use prior to and after surgery 
• A central processing department, where surgical kits are prepared and instruments are sterilized.
