Asthma Medications
Asthma medications may be given by mouth, with a metered dose inhaler (MDI), dry powder inhaler or aerosolized by a nebulizer. Asthma medicines are safe if taken as directed. They are not addictive. They will still work, even if taken for a very long period of time. Talk to your physician with any concerns you may have. Call your doctor to report any side effects. You might decrease the dose of the medication by half, or skip the next dose. Do not stop the medicine completely. This may cause the asthma to get worse. |
