South Shore Hospital Receives 2014 Beacon of Excellence AwardSM and Guardian of Excellence AwardSM from Press Ganey
South Weymouth, MA – December 19, 2014 – South Shore Hospital’s Multi-Specialty Clinics and Breast Care Center at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital are proud to announce that they have been named 2014 Beacon of Excellence Award and Guardian of Excellence Award winners, in the category of Patient Experience, by Press Ganey Associates, Inc. The awards were officially presented in November at Press Ganey’s National Client Conference in Florida, and then again on December 17th in person by the President and CEO of Press Ganey, Patrick T. Ryan at a celebration luncheon for the staff.
The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing facilities that consistently achieved the 95th percentile of performance in Patient Experience for each reporting period during the course of one year. As a result of winning The Guardian of Excellence Award for three consecutive years, South Shore Hospital’s Multi-Specialty Clinic and Breast Care Center have also earned the Beacon Award for Excellence in Patient Care Experience.
The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award and Beacon of Excellence Award are nationally-recognized symbols of achievement in health care.
