If You Choose to Breastfeed
The maternity center at South Shore Hospital, in collaboration with Isis Parenting, offers extensive educational programs and support services for breastfeeding mothers:
- Prenatal breastfeeding classes - Isis Parenting
- Visits by lactation consultants during your hospital stay.
- A “warm line” — phone support for breastfeeding mothers.
- Follow-up care in our Lactation Clinic with a medical referral.
- A hospital-based breastfeeding support group. Meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1-2 p.m.. Call 781-624-8602 for more information.
