Friends of Hope
The Friends of Hope is a coalition of volunteers and supporters, passionate about supporting cancer care patients, families, and survivors throughout southeastern Massachusetts. This compassionate group maintains an atmosphere that is unique, and open to creative ideas, shared experiences, and friendship. The Friends of Hope plans events, hosts educational and support programs, and raises funds for cancer care at South Shore Hospital. The Friends of Hope invites you to become involved as a resource for patients and families struggling with the demands of treatment and living with cancer.

One of the many support programs held by the Friends of Hope is called “Helping Children Cope.” It helps children to share their experiences and thoughts with a loved one’s cancer. This program allows the children to use art and imagination in order to express their feelings during this difficult time. Both children and adults gain a life-long coping tool for their emotions. To sign up for a session, call: 781-624-8919, or learn more about the program at: www.helpingchildrencope.org
The Fashion Show seen above held by the Friends of Hope raised money for cancer care programs here at the hospital. |
