Celebrating Heart Health Month...Essential Steps for Effective Cardiovascular Care

Village at Proprietors Green and South Shore Hospital are pleased to present a special dinner program featuring Mark I. Furman, M.D., FACC, FAHA, chief, Cardiovascular Medicine, at South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth, MA. Dr. Furman’s program will feature some of the latest trends and research on how diet, exercise and other preventative measures can help to create a more healthy heart, regardless of one’s age or family history.

Live, Love and Laugh - Amputee Support Group
February 11, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
OB Classroom, South Shore Hospital
Support for individuals with any type of amputation due to medical condition, accident or infection. Topics include living with your amputation, discussion on resources available, and support on how to do old things in new ways. The group will host guest speakers throughout the year such as physicians and occupational therapists. Interested individuals are encouraged to call Flo for more information. Facing Forward: Breast Cancer Support Group
Wednesday, February 22, 6-7:30 p.m.
Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center in Clinical Affiliation with South
Shore Hospital

Social worker Allison Feeley and breast cancer survivor Jean Leavitt work to empower women through education and support in facing the many challenges in moving forward in their lives.
