Support Services for Heart Disease

If  you or a loved one has experienced a cardiac event or is living with heart disease, it has likely impacted your life in a variety of ways, physically and emotionally. To help handle these changes—and promote a new, heart-healthy lifestyle—the Cardiovascular Center at South Shore offers a wide range of support services and resources.

These empowering programs include:

  • Cardiac Rehabilitation: Our proven, four-phased approach includes recovery, education, lifestyle modifications and gradual integration of exercise. With the guidance of our dedicated team, you’ll have all the tools you need to improve your heart health and reclaim the active life you love.

  • Cardiac Support Groups: These monthly groups are led by South Shore Hospital’s cardiac rehabilitation staff who provide skilled and compassionate care to cardiac patients and their families. It’s a great opportunity to connect and share with people on a similar path back to heart health.

  • More Helpful Heart Resources: We offer everything from smoking cessation classes and support groups, to a comprehensive online heart-health library with essential education to better understand and prevent cardiovascular disease.
