Laboratory Services

Our Laboratory Services department, accredited by the College of American Pathologists, is a full service laboratory that operates 24 hours per day.  It provides diagnostic testing for inpatients and outpatients, including patients in our emergency department, ambulatory care, and day surgery.  It is comprised of five main areas of testing:

• Blood Bank
• Chemistry
• Hematology
• Microbiology
• Pathology 

The laboratory is responsible for Specimen Collection, Specimen Processing and Point of Care (POC) Testing.  The department performs over 80,000 venipunctures and a million tests per year.
