Lung Cancer Clinic

Patients with lung cancer may require surgery, chemotherapy, radiation treatment or different combinations as part of their treatment. At the Lung Cancer Clinic, patients with known or suspected lung tumors are evaluated by a team of specialists in a timely and coordinated manner. Our multidisciplinary team includes thoracic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and radiologists. In addition, a “nurse navigator” helps make the patient experience seamless.

All new patients at the Lung Cancer Clinic are reviewed by a team of specialists prior to the patient’s first visit. Appointments with individual specialists will then be arranged, with all appointments and testing scheduled within a few days.

In addition to comprehensive expert care, many patients will be eligible to participate in clinical trials designed to identify new and promising therapies. Many nationwide clinical trials will be accessible to patients at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital.
