Meet the Dietitians

South Shore Hospital’s team of registered dietitians is dedicated to providing personalized care to help you meet your health goals. Our Outpatient Nutrition Education Program includes an initial session with a registered dietitian followed by educational sessions based on your individual needs.

Meet Our Team

Wendy Barrett, MS, RD, CDE, is a certified diabetes educator who specializes in gestational diabetes, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, weight management, and cardiovascular disease. Wendy has worked as a registered dietitian since 1989 and although her current focus is diabetes management in pregnancy, she also counsels patients with renal disease, hemodialysis, and gastrointestinal disorders. She is passionate about teaching and helping others to live a healthier life.

Wendy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nutritional science from the University of New Hampshire and Master of Science degree in clinical nutrition from Boston University.

Kelly Clark, MS, RD, LDN, CPT,  Clark is a registered dietitian who specializes in medical nutrition counseling for weight loss, bariatric surgery patients, pediatrics, and food allergies and intolerances. She is also a certified personal trainer who has the expertise to empower her patients to make healthy, educated nutrition and exercise choices to promote quality of life.    

Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College and her Master of Science degree in nutritional science from Boston University. She completed her clinical nutrition training at Quincy Medical Center.

Emily McPhee, RD, LDN, is a registered dietitian who specializes in medical nutrition therapy for diabetes, obesity and renal disease. Emily began her career working as an inpatient dietitian working in an acute care hospital, and has extensive experience counseling seniors in disease prevention as well as weight and diabetes management. Her goal is to promote wellness by helping her patients make positive, sustainable life changes.

Emily earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition, with a second degree in health promotion and fitness at Keene State College. She completed her dietetic internship at Saint Joseph College, with clinical training at Waterbury Hospital in Connecticut.
