South Shore Hospital offers individual medical nutrition counseling for a variety of diagnoses, including diabetes, cancer, kidney disease, GI disorders, obesity (pediatric and adult), sports nutrition, and eating disorders. Support Group
South Shore Hospital offers a monthly Diabetes Support Group, a great opportunity to share your concerns with others living with diabetes. The support group meets the first Wednesday of each month. Please call the Diabetes Center at 781-624-4166 for more information.
Exercise programs
The Outpatient Rehabilitation Center at South Shore Hospital has numerous Community Exercise Programs that are developed and supervised by exercise physiologists. Call 781-624-4367 for more information regarding specific classes and fees.
Charges and insurance
There is a fee for each visit with the registered dietitian. Most insurance companies do cover our services, but please contact your insurance company to determine if outpatient nutrition therapy is covered.
