Physical Therapy helps patients with strengthening, conditioning, increasing endurance, and improving overall mobility. This may be accomplished through therapeutic and functional exercises, balance/gait training, and recommending/issuing assistive devices for mobility. Physical therapy may be land based, water based or both, depending on the needs of the patient.
Patients have different sets of needs depending on their impairments, with varying lengths of time required in physical therapy. After an initial evaluation, a plan of care is established, and the patient attends therapy accordingly. The patient is re-evaluated monthly and discharged when the primary therapist determines is an appropriate time.
Patients need a prescription, less than one month old, to be evaluated by a physical therapist.
Our highly trained Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants work in teams to provide a patient centered rehabilitation experience to help you achieve your goals.
