Exercise is recommended to improve daily health and to also help relieve symptoms of many conditions.  At South Shore Hospital’s Center for Physical Wellness, our specially-trained exercise physiologists lead exercise classes developed to help you build strength, flexibility and endurance. 

  

  Diagnoses and conditions include:

  • Parkinson’s, stroke, MS
  • Arthritis
  • Low back pain
  • Balance and movement programs
  • Cancer programs
  • Pre- and post-natal
  • Pediatric activity programs

Other programs offered are:

  • Tai Chi for Balance
  • Post total joint replacement
  • Beginner exercise program
  • Senior programs
  • Women’s health programs
  • Yoga
  • Personal training
  • Combined pool* and gym programs

*Therapeutic pools are located at South Shore Hospital, 55 Fogg Road, South Weymouth.

Our exercise physiologists, who have advanced clinical training, provide expertise with a personal approach.  Whether you participate in a group or individual program, we will focus on your needs and goals to include improve physical functions and achieve sustainable wellness results.

Our Center is designed to be an inviting setting with exercise equipment for cardiovascular and resistance training and has an open area for classes.  People of all ages and activity levels are welcome to our programs and classes, which provide support, and camaraderie in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
