Cancer Center Research & Clinical Trials
Patients have a chance to participate in a clinical trial, which is a research study that tests the safety and effectiveness of new therapies, looks at new ways to give treatment, sees how lifestyle changes can help cancer patients, or explores methods to keep cancer from recurring.
- Patients have access to clinical trials through Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center, a nationally designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- Specific information about clinical trials is available online, which also includes a helpful video, “Entering a clinical trial: Is it right for you?”
As a leader in advancing cancer care, Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center offers hundreds of clinical trials aimed at improving outcomes and reducing side effects. In addition to the full portfolio of clinical trials in Boston, we are pleased to offer select trials right here in our South Weymouth location at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital.
Our select trials include those for patients with breast, colon, esophageal, gastric, gynecologic, lung, prostate or rectal cancer in our South Weymouth location, which allows innovative treatment accessibility to even more patients.
