Social worker Barbara Schnider-Ellis and breast cancer survivor Jean Leavitt work to empower women through education and support in facing the many challenges in moving forward in their lives. Registration is requested, but drop-ins are welcome. For more information, please call 781-624-4797.

Helping Children Cope with a Loved One’s Cancer

Our two-hour program is free for children ages 4-10 years and their families, when there is a loved one in the family who has cancer. (Note: The program is not for children who have cancer.)  Our program uses the power of children’s imaginations to help them cope with feelings that accompany serious illness and changes within a family, featuring the award-winning book The Moon Balloon, written and illustrated by Joan Drescher of Hingham.  Please call 781-624-8919 or visit helpingchildrencope.org for more information.

Prostate Cancer Support Group

Meets 2nd Wednesday of the month, 7-9 p.m.

Share experiences, information and resources.  A clinical support person will be available.  Please call 781-624-8328 for more information.
