Each operating suite is outfitted with the latest surgical equipment, including computers, scopes, lasers, video-cameras, and other assistive devices.
Larger operating rooms in the Dr. James A. and Mary Lind Dolphin Surgical Center can more easily accommodate lasers, cameras and scopes used in many procedures.
Not an Ordinary Ceiling
Hidden in the ceiling of this operating room is sophisticated surgical equipment, including
an advanced air-recycling unit to minimize the risk of infection. Behind the tiles are miles
of fiber-optic cables, and steel on which to suspend lights, cameras, and other high-tech equipment.

Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Every patient receives expert post-surgical care from registered nurses, whose priority is to ease recovery from the operation and from anesthesia.
