South Shore Hospital
Multispecialty care is located on the second floor of the Cancer Center and is a program offered by South Shore Hospital, under the medical direction of Thomas Clancy, MD. Care is provided by physicians from South Shore Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
- Physicians from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and South Shore Hospital provide breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecologic, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, plastic, thoracic surgery and psycho-oncology expertise.
- Depending on the patient’s needs and preferences, a surgical procedure may take place at South Shore Hospital (across the street), Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, or at another hospital of the patient’s choice.
Patients may need surgery for a variety of reasons: to remove or shrink a solid tumor, ease pain, remove obstructions caused by cancer, or repair an area of the body damaged by cancer. |
