Stroke Support Group
South Shore Hospital's stroke support group can to help you sort through the lifestyle changes that a stroke can bring. Participants are able to share their experiences and gain insight from others. The meetings are co-facilitated by a representative from South Shore Hospital’s rehabilitation department and a recovering stroke patient. The group meets on the third Thursday of each month. Support group for cardiac patients and their families, to help manage the lifestyle changes that a cardiac event can bring. Meetings are facilitated by cardiac rehab department staff, who are trained, compassionate, and experienced with cardiac patients. Participants are able to share their experiences and to gain insight from others. Meets the second Tuesday of each month from 7-9 p.m. at South Shore Hospital's Cardiac Rehab department. Visit South Shore Hospital’s dining room to use our Seasons4Health Station to check your blood pressure, your weight, and/or your body mass index.
Join The Friends of Cardiovascular Health
The Friends of Cardiovascular Health supports cardiovascular services at South Shore Hospital through friend-raising, fund-raising, and sponsoring educational programs. The group also advises our cardiovascular team about the non-medical aspects of patient care. Call 781-624-4170 for information.
