What to bring

• Current medications in their original labeled containers
• Health insurance card
• Personal care products
• Reading and writing materials
• Small amount of cash for vending machines
• List of important contacts
• Cards, books, other “time-passers”
• Change of clothes for discharge

Additional items to bring if you are having a baby

• Camera 
• Batteries/charger 
• Outfit for taking the baby home 
• Nursing bra  
• Baby bag 
• Car seat 

 What to leave home

• Valuables (jewelry, purse, etc.)  
• Medications or drugs (without doctor's prescription)
• Electrical appliances
